Norway defeated Côte d'Ivoire and advanced to the Round of 16 of the World Cup
Norway national team advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Côte d'Ivoire.
The match at AT&T Stadium ended with a 2:1 victory for the Norwegians.
The first half belonged to the European team. In the 39th minute, Antonio Nusa opened the scoring, giving Norway a narrow lead heading into the break.
In the second half, Côte d'Ivoire managed to restore parity: Amad Diallo scored in the 74th minute. However, the Norwegians had the last word. In the 86th minute, Erling Haaland scored the winning goal.
Thus, Norway secured a 2:1 victory and earned a spot in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face Brazil.
