New head coach of Azerbaijan swimming national team appointed
A new head coach of the national swimming team of Azerbaijan has been announced.
As reported by the Swimming Federation of Azerbaijan (SFA), this position has been filled by Swiss specialist Luca Gabrilo.
He was introduced to the members of the national team by the Secretary General of the SFA, Ogtay Atayev. The meeting was also attended by the federation's advisor Rashad Abdurakhmanov, Sports Director Pierre Lafontaine, and Sports Manager Mehdi Mamedov.
It is noted that Gabrilo has 15 years of coaching experience. Previously, he worked in Switzerland, USA, Israel, Romania, Czech Republic, the Philippines, and Australia. Under his guidance, athletes have won medals of various values at European and World Championships.
