Named the best goalscorer of 2025

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has published a list of footballers who scored the highest number of goals in international matches in 2025. The ranking includes players who scored at least five goals in matches for national teams and in continental club tournaments.

Ousmane Dembélé took the lead. The French winger scored nine goals, eight of which came from performances for PSG, and one for the French national team.

In second place is England national team and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane with eight goals.

Completing the top three is Salem Al-Dawsari from Saudi Arabia, who represents Al-Hilal club, with seven goals to his name.

In total, 29 footballers have scored at least five goals against opponents since the beginning of the year.
