MMA fighter beat up two police officers on board of a passenger plane and was caught on video

Female MMA fighter disrupted a Ryanair flight and beat up two police officers during arrest.

The incident occurred on November 24 on a flight from Gran Canaria, Spain, to Dublin, Ireland. 39-year-old mixed martial arts athlete Sinead Kavanagh began showing aggression during takeoff. The captain decided to stop the departure and call the police.

Civil Guard officers boarded the plane and demanded that Kavanagh follow them. However, she attacked the officers - the moment of confrontation was caught on video. The published footage shows the athlete throwing punches and shouting profanities. The injuries received forced the male and female police officers to go on sick leave.

The Irish woman was taken to the police station in a service vehicle under the guard of four officers. She spent the night in a cell and was released on bail on November 25. The investigation continues, and the case materials will later be transferred to court. It is noted that Kavanagh is a multiple national champion and ranks eighth in the world rankings in the women's featherweight division.
