Mass scandal in Turkish football: 282 players punished
The Disciplinary Committee of Professional Football of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced decisions on punishing 282 footballers based on the results of a large-scale investigation into betting.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TFF, the disciplinary committee disqualified 281 out of 282 footballers caught placing bets, for periods ranging from 45 days to 12 months.
It is noted that in relation to Canberk Aydemir, there was no need to impose a new punishment, as he had already been previously punished for a similar violation related to betting.
