Kovari: Karabakh and East Zangezur are being restored taking into account historical heritage and nature
In the restoration of Karabakh and East Zangezur, Azerbaijan is applying urban planning approaches that take into account historical heritage and the natural environment.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Dunya Kovari, founding partner of SA-Partners, a company specializing in urban design and planning, during WUF13 in Baku.
According to her, Shusha is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and is the cultural center of the region. In developing the city's master plan, a contextual urban restoration approach was applied with careful attention to historical heritage.
She added that in the restoration of the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions, including Kalbajar and Lachin, new urban planning models are being used that take into account the mountainous terrain, natural environment, and local characteristics.
