Azerbaijan won another silver medal at the III CIS Countries Games.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, swimmer Suleyman Ismayilzade took second place.

He performed successfully in the 800m freestyle swimming event. Russian Alexander Filipets won gold, while his compatriot Bogdan Toropkin claimed the bronze award.

Today, competitions in seven sports will be held at the III CIS Countries Games.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, more football matches will take place at the stadium in Gabala.

In Group A, Azerbaijan's team will face Kyrgyzstan, while in Group B Russia will play against Uzbekistan.

Shooting competitions will conclude at the Gabala Shooting Club. The final qualification and final stages of clay target shooting in the "skeet" and "trap" disciplines will be held.

Badminton competitions will continue at the Gabala Olympic Sports Complex. More matches in Groups A and B will be held, as well as semifinal matches.

Gymnastics competitions will begin at the Olympic Sports Complex in Sheki.

Boxing competitions will continue at the Olympic Sports Complex in Yevlakh. More quarterfinal bouts will be held in the weight categories of 48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg, 80 kg, and +80 kg.

Swimming competitions will be held at the Sports Palace in Ganja, as well as volleyball matches. In Group A, Russia will face Belarus, while in Group B, Uzbekistan will play against Tajikistan.

Note that the III CIS Countries Games will conclude on October 8. The competitions involve 1,624 athletes and 2,337 delegates from 13 countries.
