Gurban Gurbanov gave an interview to Euronews TV channel

We have many champion athletes. If you look at sports as a whole, we have enough Olympic and world champions in both wrestling and judo.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the head coach of "Karabakh" Gurban Gurbanov stated this in an interview with Euronews TV channel.

He noted that overall Azerbaijan is a sporting country.

"Football has reached such a level that keeping up with it is not at all easy. There are no weak teams in the Champions League. Being able to defeat such clubs and be at the forefront cannot fail to please me. One can say that the whole world has become interested in us," he said.

Gurban Gurbanov also talked about the goals they set for themselves.

"Our goal has always been to work hard and move forward. Gradually, attention is growing both towards 'Karabakh' and Azerbaijani football as a whole. In such a situation, I increasingly hope that we will further develop the club, including at the management level, and achieve successful results," the coach noted.
