Gunay Gurbanova won bronze at the European Championship in Tirana

Azerbaijani athlete Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) won a bronze medal at the European Wrestling Championship in the Albanian capital Tirana.

As Report informs, in the bronze medal match she defeated Marta Getmanova (UWW) with a score of 7:5.

Tomorrow, Azerbaijani female wrestlers Zhala Aliyeva (57 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg), and Birgul Sultanova (65 kg) will compete for bronze medals.

It should be noted that earlier in the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions, gold medals were won by Khasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg), while Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) became bronze medalists. The Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling team took first place in the team standings.
