On the fourth day of the World Wrestling Championship among youth (U-17), held in Baku, five more representatives of the Azerbaijani national team will step onto the mat.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, in the qualification round, Fatima Bayramova (53 kg) will face Israeli wrestler Sela Rozov.

Fidan Babayeva (61 kg) and Simura Abdullayeva (69 kg) will compete in the Round of 16, while Gulkhanym Shirinova (40 kg) and Nuray Jafarli (46 kg) will compete in the quarterfinals. It should be noted that the day before, four other Azerbaijani female athletes concluded their quest for medals.

Earlier, among Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers, Ali Javadly (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseinli (51 kg), and Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) distinguished themselves by winning silver medals. Omar Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkezov (60 kg), and Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) won bronze.

It should be noted that the competitions are being held at the National Gymnastics Arena. About 700 young wrestlers from more than 60 countries are participating in the championship. Azerbaijan is represented by 29 wrestlers.
