Azerbaijani wrestlers won six medals at tournaments in Russia

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers won 6 medals at two traditional competitions held in Russia.

As Report informs, at the tournament in Vladikavkaz dedicated to the memory of two-time Olympic champion Soslan Andiev, our athlete Magomedkhan Magomedov competed for the first time in the 125 kg weight category.

His debut in the new weight category was successful - after defeating all opponents, he climbed to the top step of the podium.

Meanwhile, the Shamil Umakhanov tournament was held in Khasavyurt. National team members Murad Evloev (74 kg), Ali Tsokaev (86 kg), and Osman Nurmagomedov (97 kg) won silver medals, while Gadzhimurad Omarov (74 kg) and Muhammad Gantemirov (125 kg) won bronze medals.
