Azerbaijani wrestler Orkhan Habibli won bronze at the U17 World Championship
Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) competed in a bronze medal bout at the World Championship for athletes under 17.
As Oxu.Az reports, his opponent was India's Kunal Dugar.
The match ended with a victory for our athlete with a score of 7:5.
It should be noted that on his way to the semifinals, Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) defeated Gaspar Sanchez (Czech Republic), Gabriel Lungu (Romania), and Sardor Makhmudov (Uzbekistan). However, in the semifinal bout, he lost to Ukraine's Ibragim Nasibov.
As a reminder, Omar Salmanov had earlier won a bronze medal at the World Championship.
Later, Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) will step onto the mat to compete for the championship title.
