Azerbaijani wrestler Khasrat Jafarov became European champion

Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Gurban Gurbanov won a gold medal at the European Championship in the Albanian capital Tirana.

As Report informs, the athlete, competing in the 82 kg weight category, defeated Adlet Tyulbayev (UWW) 4:2 in the final.

Thus, Azerbaijani wrestlers claimed 2 gold and 1 bronze medals in one day of competition.

It should be noted that the European Championship will conclude on April 26. In the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions, Khasrat Jafarov (67 kg) previously won a gold medal, while Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) won bronze medals.
