Azerbaijani referee suspended from football became a taxi driver

Suspended football referee Rauf Allahverdiev has already applied to one of the well-known taxi companies in Baku.

As idmanxəbər.az reports, after completing the paperwork, R.Allahverdiev will begin work in his new field.

Recall that the referee explained his suspension from officiating due to a serious mistake he made in the first match of the Azerbaijan Cup semifinal between "Neftchi" and "Sabah" last season. Later, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) announced that Allahverdiev's new contract was not extended due to his statements damaging the business reputation of the federation.
