Azerbaijan moved to second place in the medal standings of the CIS Games

Azerbaijan has risen to the second position in the medal count of the III CIS Games.

According to the official website of the competition, Azerbaijani athletes have won 33 gold, 53 silver, and 92 bronze medals.

Russia remains in the lead with 124 gold, 61 silver, and 40 bronze medals.

Belarus occupies the third place, having won 32 gold, 35 silver, and 52 bronze medals.

In total, athletes from 10 countries have become medalists in the competitions so far.

The III CIS Games will conclude on October 8.
