On October 30, another mini-football tournament "Friendship Cup" was held among teams of boys and girls aged 10-11 and 12-13 years who are being raised in orphanages. The goal of the competition is to support the physical and psychological development of children, strengthen their team spirit, self-confidence, and social skills.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, the competition was also observed by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva.

In the tournament, organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, teams from orphanages number 1, 2, 3 of Baku city and orphanage number 4 of Ganja city, operating under the Social Services Agency, competed in both age groups under the names "Shahinlar", "Birlik", "Zafar" and "Kapaz". A high sporting spirit and atmosphere of friendship reigned among the girls and boys. It was noteworthy that during the matches, both children and spectators experienced great enthusiasm and joy.

One of the most memorable moments of the tournament was how Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva, who were watching the games, cheered for all teams, sincerely communicated with the children and took photos with them. They wished the participants success and once again emphasized the importance of holding such events in the future on a more large-scale and regular basis.

The winning teams in both age groups were awarded diplomas, medals and cups. Teams that took second and third places were also awarded medals and diplomas.

At the end of the event, the children, caregivers, and organizers emphasized that such initiatives have a positive impact on children's lives, allowing them to strengthen their self-confidence and social connections. They expressed gratitude for the constant organization of such social projects.

It should be noted that the "Friendship Cup" mini-football tournament was first organized in May of this year, and the current competition is a successful continuation of this tradition.

The main goal of organizing mini-football competitions is not only to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among pupils of social service institutions, but also to support their integration into society and create conditions for making new friendships.
