A "Zenit" footballer was attempted to be kidnapped on the street
St. Petersburg Zenit footballer Andrey Mostovoy was nearly kidnapped on a street in St. Petersburg, reports Mash on Sport.
Unknown individuals grabbed the player by the arms and tried to force him into a car. The athlete managed to escape thanks to the intervention of a random passerby.
Two days later, in the same location, criminals kidnapped the son-in-law of a State Duma deputy. The perpetrators forced him to hand over 2.5 million rubles and demanded that the remaining amount be transferred through his wife, providing them with cars.
Criminal cases on kidnapping and robbery have been initiated regarding the incident. All suspects have already been detained.
