A logo of Azerbaijan's "Sports Capital" is presented

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan presented the logo and official symbols of the city of Gazakh, which has the status of the country's "Sports Capital" for 2026.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the department, the logo depicts Mount Goyazan and the Dilbaz horse - one of the main symbols of Gazakh.

The project slogan also emphasizes the sporting spirit and dynamism of the city: "Gazakh - join the movement!"

On the mascot prepared for the project, a young athlete is depicted with a saz - a symbol of the ashug art traditional for Gazakh. The slogan and mascot image were developed using artificial intelligence.

Gazakh was chosen as Azerbaijan's "Sports Capital" for 2026 following a vote at the Board of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on December 16, 2024.

Recall that in 2024 this status was held by Guba, and in 2025 by Gabala.
