2026 World Cup: Morocco National Team Beat the Netherlands and Advanced to the Round of 16

The Morocco national team defeated the Netherlands in a penalty shootout and advanced to the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the match took place at Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe, Mexico.

In the 72nd minute, Cody Gakpo put the "Oranje" ahead, and in the 1st minute of added time, Issa Diop equalized. Since the teams were unable to determine a winner in regular and extra time, a penalty shootout was held, where the Africans proved more accurate - 3:2.

In the Round of 16, the Moroccans will face the Canadians, with the match scheduled for July 4.
