The problem of transport in Azerbaijan - heat, air conditioners don't work

During the summer period, when the air temperature in the country rises to 40 degrees, passengers increasingly express dissatisfaction about the absence or malfunction of air conditioners in public transport. This not only causes physical discomfort but also calls into question the observance of passenger rights and overall transportation safety.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Bizim.Media, transport expert Aslan Asadov noted that the ventilation problem is relevant not only in summer but also in winter months.

"First of all, passenger comfort suffers, which affects trust in the public transport system. Some drivers and carriers mistakenly believe that operating the air conditioner leads to extra fuel costs. However, the refusal to provide ventilation negatively affects both people's health and service quality," Asadov stated.

In his opinion, to solve the problem, it is necessary to tighten accountability measures for carriers who do not comply with service standards.

According to the Law "On Automobile Transport," companies providing transportation services are obliged to ensure compliance with sanitary-hygienic and technical standards. This includes having a functioning ventilation system. For violation of these requirements, carriers can be held administratively liable.
