The Ministry of Emergency Situations has made an important announcement to the public regarding beaches on August 21-22

A sharp change in weather conditions is expected on the territory of Azerbaijan, including Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, from today until August 22.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to the National Hydrometeorological Service, forecasters predict strong winds, heavy rains, and thunderstorms in several regions of the country.
In this regard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has issued a warning to the population. The department strongly recommends staying away from light structures, temporary buildings, buildings, and billboards during strong winds, as well as not stopping near electric poles, wires, and tall trees.
The MES pays special attention to the need for strict compliance with fire safety rules, as strong winds complicate the process of extinguishing fires.
In addition, citizens are warned about the danger of swimming in the sea during windy weather and are reminded of the importance of following safety rules on beaches.
It is also noted that during a thunderstorm, it is necessary to disconnect electrical appliances from the network, not talk on the phone outdoors, not approach power lines, antennas, lightning rods, and tall trees. Low places should be chosen as shelter. Drivers are advised to stop their car during a thunderstorm, raise the windows, and wait for the bad weather to end.
