The airplane on the Krasnoyarsk - Baku flight stalled on the runway

The airliner operating a flight from Krasnoyarsk to Baku stopped on the runway after air conditioning system repairs.

According to Krasnoyarsk TV channel TVK, citing eyewitnesses, the incident occurred with an IrAero airline aircraft operating flight IO 473, scheduled for 07:25.

During pre-flight preparations, panic arose among passengers, and some refused to continue the journey. A local resident who was seeing off his daughter and grandchildren reported that passengers waited for about two hours due to aircraft repairs. After that, the same aircraft was brought back to the runway but stalled, causing concern among people on board.

The Krasnoyarsk airport press service confirmed that the aircraft did have a technical malfunction, but it was fixed. By the time it was moving to the runway at 13:55, the aircraft was operational. However, due to one family of five refusing to fly, the plane returned. Eventually, the flight did take place, but 22 passengers decided to stay in Krasnoyarsk.
