The 14-year-old Umid who was subjected to torture has been placed in a medical facility

A teenager, who was left an orphan and allegedly subjected to systematic abuse by a relative, has been placed in a medical facility.

As Qafqazinfo was informed by the press service of the Social Services Agency, specialists of the department immediately responded as soon as they received information about a possible case of abuse of 14-year-old Umid by his guardian.

Currently, the teenager is undergoing medical examination and psychological assessment, after which a decision will be made about his further placement in an appropriate institution.

It should be noted that the victim's older brother, 21-year-old F. Mamedov, has refuted the accusations against the aunt-guardian. According to his statement, the signs of violence on the boy's body appeared long before he ended up in the relative's home, and were the result of abuse by his late father who was a drug addict.

Meanwhile, the family's neighbors paint a completely different picture of what happened. According to them, the children, especially the younger one - Umid, endured monstrous trials. They admit that they repeatedly tried to intervene and stop the abuse, but the female guardian threatened them with police action each time.
