Service: Preventive measures are being taken against the risk of flooding

In anticipation of expected heavy rains in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, starting from tonight, the United Water Supply Service for major cities, operating under the State Water Resources Agency, is taking preventive measures.

Preventive measures include flushing sewer collectors, cleaning inspection wells and storm drains to ensure the drainage of rainwater and wastewater. Equipment at pumping stations is also being checked and repaired.

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, heavy rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected on the peninsula starting from the night of April 14. On April 16, precipitation may become continuous and intense, with a risk of flooding. In this regard, preventive measures will continue.
