An investigation is being conducted into the discovery of bone fragments resembling a human skeleton.

As reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, on April 2, information was received by the district department of the agency about the discovery of bone fragments, presumably belonging to a human, in the territory of Bash Guneypaya village in the Agdere district.

Prosecutors immediately inspected the scene with the participation of a criminalist and an expert. During the inspection, the discovered bone remains were seized in accordance with established procedures for examination and laboratory research, and other necessary procedural actions were also performed.

Currently, the identification of the bones is being established.

The Agdam District Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation into the matter.

Representatives of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens will travel on April 4 to Bash Guneypaya village in the Agdere district, where fragments of a skeleton, presumably belonging to a human, were discovered.
