In Baku, in the Bilgah settlement of Sabunchi district, a shocking incident occurred: a man attacked his wife with a knife.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Teleqraf, a conflict erupted between 29-year-old Zahra Bayramova and her husband after the woman announced her intention to file for divorce. In the heat of the argument, the man, in a fit of rage, first cut off his wife's ear, then inflicted knife wounds to her face. According to the source, he put the severed ear in the victim's pocket.

The victim was taken to the Sabunchi Medical Center. Doctors assess her condition as moderate severity.

The 14th police department of the Sabunchi District Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident.
