High-speed train Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgayit got stuck en route

The Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgayit train is heading to Goryadil.

It has been announced that passengers will be disembarked at this station.

Around 10:10, a technical malfunction in the contact network on the Sumgayit-Pirshagi section of the Absheron ring railway route caused delays in the movement of some trains in this direction.

As BAKU.WS reports, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) issued a statement on this matter.

It is noted that measures are being taken to fix the malfunction. We ask passengers to be understanding about the inconvenience.

The high-speed train following the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgayit route has stopped en route.

According to a BAKU.WS employee who is on the train, the train has not been moving for about 30 minutes.

The reasons for the problem have not yet been reported.
