Seafood lovers can rejoice: prices for some types of fish have decreased in Azerbaijan's markets. Currently, a kilogram of fish can be purchased at prices ranging from 3 to 120 manats, depending on the farming method and country of import.

Sellers explain the price reduction by seasonal fluctuations, as well as decreased consumer demand during the warm period. The biggest price drop was for kutum, which cost 25-30 manats during holidays, and now costs 12-13 manats. The price of beluga has decreased from 43-45 to 38-40 manats, and for carp - from 15 to 10-12 manats per kilogram.

In general, both locally produced and imported fish are available in the markets. For example, sea bream (dorada) is supplied from Turkey, red fish from Norway, and beluga from Iran. The price for local red fish is 55-60 manats, for Norwegian - 30-35 manats. Iranian beluga will cost 28-30 manats per kilogram, while local beluga costs 38-43 manats.

Price reductions are also observed in the country's regions. Traders on the Yevlakh - Mingachevir road note that all types of fish have become cheaper. For example, the cost of river perch has decreased from 7-8 to 4-4.50 manats.

According to sellers' forecasts, fish prices will likely remain unchanged until September.
