Baku Metro: New Stations Will Relieve "20 January" and Improve Transport Accessibility

The process of selecting territories where the construction of 10 new Baku Metro stations will unfold in the near future is approaching its logical conclusion. Specific locations for the new subway stations have already been determined.
According to the head of the public relations department of "Baku Metro" Bakhtiyar Mammadov, there are plans to extend two existing metro lines. The "Purple Line" will be extended to Babek Avenue, and the "Green Line" will be extended to the "Azi Aslanov" station.
This expansion will simultaneously increase passenger traffic at the "Avtovokzal" and "Khodjasan" stations, as well as significantly reduce the load on the "20 January" station and its adjacent square.
