Azerbaijan announces verdict for man accused of beating ex-wife

The investigation of the criminal case against Gulam Gadirov (here and below, names and surnames are conditional - ed.), accused of intentional infliction of minor harm to health, has been completed in the Absheron District Court.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to pravda.az, the verdict was announced at a session chaired by Judge Abuset Gasymov.
According to the court's verdict, the criminal case was terminated, and G. Gadirov was released from criminal liability.
According to the indictment, the incident occurred on January 12, 2024, at 14:40 in the Absheron district.
G. Gadirov lived in the same house with his ex-wife, the victim Ulker Gaibova, and their children. A conflict arose between the former spouses due to disagreements about living together. During the argument, Gulam attacked the woman, deliberately grabbed her by the hair and pulled it out. Then he slapped Ulker, hit her on the head, causing injuries to his ex-wife that temporarily worsened her health.
After the incident, the man was detained and brought to criminal responsibility.
