Almost 40,000 manats stolen from bank cards of Azerbaijani citizens in one day

Cases of theft of funds from bank cards through external interference continue. All incoming calls and messages regarding bank cards, especially from abroad, should be blocked without answering, and suspicious links should be ignored. Otherwise, you risk losing funds from your card.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on April 9, funds in the amount of 12,850, 8,211, 8,210, 4,466, 2,000, 1,200, 700, 300, 300, 261, 260, 260, 175, 143, 85, 83 manats and 595 dollars were stolen from the bank cards of several citizens using various cyber methods.

The department once again strongly recommends citizens to be extremely cautious about suspicious calls and messages offering easy earnings, insurance, strengthening bank accounts and replenishing them.

"Under no circumstances should you share your personal banking information with strangers," the Ministry of Internal Affairs statement says.
