A foreign object was found in canned peas from an Azerbaijani store

A foreign object was found in canned peas purchased at one of the supermarkets in Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, a complaint was received from a citizen regarding this fact.

On this issue, the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan stated that the circulated footage has been taken under control:

"The issue will be investigated by the regional department of the Agency in accordance with the legislation. Information on the results of the investigation will be provided. Consumers are asked to report any inconsistencies in the food sector to the Agency's hotline "1003" or through the mobile application "E-Qidam" for investigation and appropriate measures to be taken."

According to information from the press service of "Azersun Holding" LLC, "Bizim Tarla" products undergo several stages of inspection during the production process.

"X-ray and other equipment detects foreign objects in the product composition and removes it from the production line. The responsible departments have been informed about this complaint, the product will be returned and the necessary investigation will be conducted," the statement says.

An investigation is underway on this matter.
