International cooperation and the exchange of best practices in addressing common urban challenges are more important than ever.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the Minister of Regional Development of the Czech Republic Zuzana Mrazová at the ministerial roundtable within the framework of WUF13 in Baku.

According to her, since the adoption of the New Urban Agenda, the Czech Republic has remained fully committed to its implementation and considers this program the main global framework for sustainable urban development:

"Our efforts are aimed at building sustainable and inclusive cities. At the national level, we have focused on strengthening the social and institutional aspects of urban development, improving access to essential services, and ensuring housing affordability."

The minister also thanked the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the government of Azerbaijan for organizing WUF13.
