Zakir Hasanov: The Azerbaijani army has become a guarantor of peace in the region

The Azerbaijani army is the strongest in the region and plays a key role in ensuring peace and stability.

As Report informs, this was stated by Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov at the graduation ceremony at the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute and the Faculty of Military Medicine.

"Today's ceremony coincides with a special year - the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty is being solemnly celebrated in Azerbaijan. This year we are also preparing for the fifth anniversary of Victory in the Patriotic War. As a result of the successful army-building policy conducted by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Ilham Aliyev, the modern Azerbaijani army has become the most powerful army in the region, becoming a guarantor of peace and security," the minister noted.

According to him, the reforms carried out in the military education system are already yielding tangible results, and graduates of the institute took an active part in combat operations, showing courage and heroism.
