In Baku, as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), the official opening of the Urban Expo exhibition took place, bringing together representatives from 85 countries around the world.

As Report informs, the ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, WUF13 National Coordinator Anar Guliyev, and the Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Anaclaudia Rossbach.

They cut the red ribbon, officially declaring the exhibition open.

It should be noted that the total area of the exhibition is 35 thousand square meters, about half of which is occupied by the exposition zone. In total, the exhibition features 260 organizations from 85 countries, housed across 122 stands and pavilions.

According to partner categories, 15 participants represent academic and research institutions, while the largest group consists of civil society representatives — 136 organizations. The exhibition also features 44 private sector representatives, including 14 startups, 41 national government pavilions, 10 public sector companies, as well as 6 representatives of local and regional authorities.

At the Urban Expo venue, governments, city administrations, international organizations, academia, innovators, and private sector leaders are showcasing practical solutions and partnership initiatives.
