Warning of the President to revanchist circles

As long as there are political forces in Armenian society that live with a feeling of hatred towards Azerbaijan, we must remain vigilant.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with residents of the city of Zangilan.

"Today we live in conditions of peace, and we ourselves are the authors of this peace. If we had not wanted it, there would be no peace. If we wished, we could have carried out any military operation anywhere. Both the leadership of Armenia and those who stand behind them know this. No matter how much they stand behind them, they know that against our strength they have no chances, they are helpless. If they had the strength, they could have helped Armenia back in 2020. Some foreign leaders who come to Armenia today and pose as imaginary heroes were in power in their countries in 2020 as well — so why didn't they come and help Armenia then? Empty talk and nothing more. All they do is empty talk, which is why the approval rating in their own countries is 10-15%.

Now they supposedly saved Armenia from us. We had no intention of destroying Armenia or taking away its independence. Today, European so-called observers are still allegedly standing guard on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. I said it then too — if we fire even once, they will only show their heels running, there won't be a trace of them left. But they behave as if they are protecting Armenia from us. There is no need to protect Armenia from us. We achieved what we wanted. Presenting themselves as false heroes at this event in Armenia — claiming they stopped Azerbaijan, otherwise this aggressive Azerbaijan would have destroyed Armenia — all of this is nonsense. We did not have, do not have, and will not have such intentions, unless provocations are committed against us again. However, we know that in the political landscape of Armenia there are enough circles living with hatred towards the Azerbaijani people and state, and if they come to power, then the Armenian people will have big troubles.

We liberated our lands from occupiers by shedding blood. May Allah rest the souls of all martyrs. All our servicemen, heroic fighters deserve the highest appreciation. We demonstrated will, professionalism, high moral qualities, and dignity both on the battlefield and in the political arena. That is precisely why respect for Azerbaijan today has grown perhaps tenfold compared to the previous period," the head of state said.
