US Embassy Congratulated Nariman Akhundzade on Transfer to American Club

The US Embassy in Azerbaijan published a congratulatory post on the occasion of the transfer of our national team footballer and former "Qarabag" player Nariman Akhundzade to the "Columbus Crew" club, representing the state of Ohio.

"We wholeheartedly congratulate Azerbaijani football star Nariman Akhundzade on signing a contract with the Columbus Crew club from the state of Ohio. The talented young forward, who gained wide popularity thanks to his bright and memorable performances with the 'horsemen,' has become the first Azerbaijani footballer to sign a contract with the Major League Soccer (MLS) of the USA and Canada," the publication states.

The diplomatic mission also wished the Agdam representative success and a confident victory in today's Champions League playoff match against Newcastle United.
