UAE Media: President Al Nahyan's Visit to Azerbaijan - Another Contribution to Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The visit of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Azerbaijan, his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev and the events held in the city of Shusha, were in the center of attention of this country's media.

As AZERTAJ reports, the official news agency WAM, Emarat Al Youm, Sharjah24, Alkhaleej, Nabd Khalij and other newspapers and portals published materials about the one-on-one meeting of the heads of state, about the inspection in Shusha of monuments to famous Azerbaijani figures Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeyir Hajibeyli, which were shot by Armenian occupiers. It was brought to the readers' attention that as a result of the intervention of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, these monuments were bought from Armenia and delivered to our country. The sculptures, which were kept for some time in Baku in the courtyard of the Museum of Arts, were returned to their original place after the liberation of the city of Shusha from occupation.

UAE media also published news about the UAE president's visit to the Shusha branch of the National Carpet Museum and his familiarization with the progress of construction work at the New Shusha Mosque. It was noted that this mosque, the foundation of which was laid by President Ilham Aliyev in 2021, will stand out as an example of modern architecture in the historical city that is Shusha. In accordance with the instructions of the head of our state, the shape of the mosque will reflect the number 8, which, in turn, symbolizes the day of liberation of the city of Shusha from the occupiers - Victory Day. The two minarets of the mosque will display the number 11. This is a symbol of the liberation of the city of Shusha and Karabakh from occupation in the eleventh month. The facade of the mosque, built in the upper part of the city, will be decorated with geometric patterns similar to the ornaments of the minarets of the ancient Shusha Mosque. The materials emphasize that the visit of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Azerbaijan is another step towards strengthening relations between the two friendly countries.

The WAM news agency posted on its website a video of the heads of state watching a show of Karabakh horses at Jidir Duzu. It is noted that the President of Azerbaijan presented the head of the United Arab Emirates with a Karabakh horse named "Ergunesh".
