Truck traffic at the Azerbaijani-Iranian border has been completely suspended
The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has released information about a decision concerning the suspension of truck traffic across the Azerbaijani-Iranian state border.
BAKU.WS was informed of this by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
"As previously reported, on March 5, drone attacks originating from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran were carried out on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan, targeting civilian infrastructure.
The Nakhchivan International Airport, a school, and other facilities came under fire. As a result of the attacks, several civilians were injured, and the airport terminal building sustained damage.
Given the current situation and the circumstances resulting from these attacks, which contradict the norms and principles of international law, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to fully suspend truck traffic (including transit) through all border crossing points on the Azerbaijani-Iranian state border," the statement reads.
