The United Kingdom has appointed a new ambassador to Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Duncan Norman has been appointed as the head of the British diplomatic mission in Baku.

"Proud to take up my appointment as the new UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan. I look forward to developing the UK's bilateral relations with Azerbaijan and continuing the important work on our shared priorities to deepen our partnership," the newly appointed ambassador wrote on his page on the social network X.

It should be noted that Duncan Norman will replace Fergus Auld in the position of ambassador.
