The President of Azerbaijan named investments in Uzbekistan as a priority

For Azerbaijan, investments in Uzbekistan are a priority. Firstly, because it is a friendly, brotherly country. Secondly, because as a result of the well-thought-out reforms of the President of Uzbekistan, a very good investment climate has been created in the country.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this in a joint statement with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the head of the Azerbaijani state, it is no coincidence that today Uzbekistan is a very attractive country for investments.

"Today we once again confirmed our intention to significantly increase both trade turnover and the volume of mutual investments. The joint investment fund, which was created some time ago, is already practically secured with projects. Today it was reported that more than 10 projects are at the stage of making investment decisions. But, naturally, we consider this only as a beginning, because the authorized capital of the investment fund is 500 million dollars. Our plans exceed this figure several times, and I am confident that the joint implementation of projects in energy, hotel business, construction, agriculture and many other areas, those projects that already have a specific perspective, which have been agreed upon, contracts that have been signed, will naturally lead to a significant growth in mutual investments. And this reflects our intention, it corresponds to the spirit and character of brotherly relations between our countries," noted the President of Azerbaijan.
