The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan discussed the prospects for developing strategic alliance
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the head of the MFA of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, during a telephone conversation held today, discussed the current state and prospects for further development of the strategic alliance between the two countries.
This was reported to BAKU.WS by the foreign policy department of Azerbaijan.
During the conversation, the parties emphasized that the high-level political dialogue established between the heads of state makes an important contribution to the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in all areas.
The ministry noted that Bayramov and Saidov exchanged views on the possibilities of further expanding cooperation in the political, economic, trade, transport and communication, energy, investment, humanitarian and other spheres.
"The parties also expressed satisfaction with the mutual support and effective cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other multilateral platforms, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination in this direction. During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views also took place on other regional and international issues of mutual interest," the MFA statement said.
