The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and the UAE discussed the situation in the Middle East

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the foreign policy department of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the main subject of discussion was the military operations observed in recent days in the Middle East and the security tensions.

The parties expressed deep concern over the current situation. It was particularly noted that the ongoing military escalation poses serious risks to regional stability, and the need to observe the norms and principles of international law, as well as to resolve the conflict through dialogue and political means, was emphasized.

It was stated that ensuring the safety of the civilian population and civilian infrastructure is a priority task. J. Bayramov expressed condolences over the deaths and injuries of civilians as a result of the confrontation.

The ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
