The fifth anniversary of Victory was solemnly celebrated in the Azerbaijani army

In accordance with the plan approved by the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, a series of ceremonial events was held in the Azerbaijani army in connection with the fifth anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the Ministry of Defense, servicemen visited Alleys of Martyrs, laid flowers on the graves of heroes who gave their lives for the Homeland, and honored their bright memory.

At the ceremonies, a minute of silence was observed in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs who gave their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, accompanied by military orchestras.

The events highlighted the significance of the historical Victory in the Patriotic War achieved by the Azerbaijani army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the role of the people in this victory, and the heroism of our valiant sons. It was emphasized that the memory of the martyrs will forever remain in the heart of the people. It was noted that during the five years since the glorious Victory, large-scale reconstruction and restoration work has been carried out on the lands liberated from occupation.

Round tables were held to strengthen the combat and victory spirit of personnel, instill patriotic feelings and national-spiritual values, and detailed information about the conducted combat operations was presented.

Documentary films and videos about the Patriotic War, performances by military orchestras, concert programs, literary and artistic compositions, and cultural events prepared by the Azi Aslanov Army Ideological and Cultural Center, the Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center, and cultural and art figures were received with great interest.

In conclusion, servicemen who distinguished themselves with high combat training and discipline were awarded certificates of honor and valuable gifts.
