The Embassy of Belgium expressed solidarity with Azerbaijan after Iran's strikes on the NAR
The Embassy of Belgium in Baku condemned yesterday's Iranian drone strikes on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in the diplomatic mission's post on the social network X.
"In connection with the attacks in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (by Iran - ed.), the Embassy of Belgium expresses its full solidarity with Azerbaijan. We condemn these attacks, which endanger the civilian population and violate Azerbaijan's sovereignty and international law. We wish the injured a speedy recovery," the embassy stated.
As a reminder, on March 5, unmanned aerial vehicles launched from the territory of Iran attacked targets on the territory of Nakhchivan. One of the drones hit the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, and the second one landed near a school building in the village of Shekerabad. As a result of the airport attack, four civilians were injured. Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mojtaba Demirchilu was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Azerbaijan stated that it reserves the right to a retaliatory strike.
