The detention period of Saleh Samedov, arrested by the State Security Service (SSS), has been extended
The detention of former Chairman of the Council of Elders of Imishli District Saleh Samedov has been extended.
As reported by APA, the relevant petition of the investigative body was reviewed at the Sabail District Court.
By the court's decision, the preventive measure in the form of arrest imposed on the ex-chairman was extended for another three months.
It should be noted that Saleh Samedov is charged under Article 179.3.2 (embezzlement or misappropriation on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
As a reminder, Saleh Samedov was removed from his position for raising the flag of the former USSR and wearing a "St. George's ribbon" at an event marking May 9 — Victory Day over Fascism. Some time later, he was detained by the State Security Service.
