Address of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the international scientific conference "Islamophobia: Exposing Prejudices and Destroying Stigmas," held on May 26-27 in Baku, has been distributed as an official document of the UN General Assembly and Security Council.
This was reported by the press service of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism.
The address received the status of an official UN document and was presented to all member states of the organization. This fact clearly demonstrates the high international appreciation of President Ilham Aliyev's calls to combat Islamophobia and his commitment to the values of tolerance and multiculturalism.
In his address, the head of state drew attention to the growing manifestations of Islamophobia, emphasizing that this negative trend poses a threat to international peace and security. President Ilham Aliyev noted that the fight against religious intolerance, discrimination, and calls for hatred is only possible through joint international efforts.
The recognition of this address as an official document at the UN level is another manifestation of international support for Azerbaijan's policy based on multiculturalism and religious solidarity.
It is worth noting that on May 26-27 of this year, the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism, the Center for Analysis of International Relations, and the Baku Initiative Group jointly organized the international scientific conference "Islamophobia: Exposing Prejudices and Destroying Stigmas."
