Shadows over Gyumri: Russia plans to overthrow Pashinyan and prepares for a new war with Azerbaijan

Information received by Caliber.Az indicates alarming shifts in Russian military strategy in the South Caucasus. According to data available to the editorial office, in recent weeks there has been an increase in activity at the 102nd Russian base in Armenian Gyumri. But this is not about rotation of personnel or planned strengthening of defense capabilities. Everything points to a different logic - one in which military instruments are transformed into a lever for internal political intervention.
This is stated in a new issue of the Caliber.Az YouTube channel.
"Sources claim that in June and July 2025, the Russian side repeatedly approached Azerbaijan with requests to allow military transport aircraft to fly through our airspace. The goal - transferring weapons to Armenian territory. However, Baku took a firm and unambiguous position: the corridor is closed. A decision reflecting both adherence to national interests and understanding of potential risks.
The nomenclature of the cargo being sent raises serious questions. In addition to heavy weapons, they tried to deliver weapons to the base in Gyumri intended for close combat and operations in urban environments. That is - not only for future open confrontation on the border with Azerbaijan, but also for street clashes, battles in dense built-up areas," the material states.
