SGB: Ali Karimli intended to ensure Azerbaijan's accession to the CSTO
In the event of Ali Karimli coming to power, Azerbaijan would gradually become a full member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in a message from the State Security Service (SSS).
It is noted that Ganimat Zayidov, from the beginning of 2013, at Karimli's request, established secret connections with representatives of foreign intelligence services, promising to ensure the strategic interests of the corresponding state in the event of Ali Karimli coming to power, including Azerbaijan's gradual accession to the CSTO.
According to the investigation's version, on the night of July 14-15, 2020, when Azerbaijani citizens took to the streets of Baku in a march in support of the army and against Armenian aggression, Ali Karimli instructed Fuad Gahramanli and his other supporters to join the procession. They were tasked with organizing small groups, then, replacing patriotic slogans with provocative calls, creating a chaotic situation, and, by controlling the crowd, exploiting this situation to seize the administrative buildings of the Milli Majlis and "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting."
