Ramin Mamedov participated in an international conference in Cairo
Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Affairs of Azerbaijan Ramin Mamedov participated in the 36th international conference "Professions in Islam: Our Ethics in the Era of Artificial Intelligence, Its Impact and Future" held in Cairo on January 19-20.
As reported to BAKU.WS by the State Committee, influential religious leaders and government officials from the Islamic world spoke at the opening ceremony of the event. The scientific sessions of the conference discussed professional culture in various civilizations, professional ethics in the modern era, and the role of moral values in shaping the future.
Mamedov noted that the common values formed over centuries between Azerbaijan and Egypt play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations. The effective political dialogue between the heads of state determines the directions of cooperation between the two countries.
He emphasized that rapid technological changes, especially the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on professional fields, create new challenges.
"In Azerbaijan, which has a secular state structure, the rights of all religious communities are protected, and their cultural and religious heritage is supported at the state level. Although AI and digital technologies are shaping the professions of the future, without ethical foundations, this process could exacerbate inequality. Ethical values emphasizing justice, compassion, and human dignity remain the main criteria for ensuring that innovations serve humanity," added Mamedov.
